Static Mafia is a humble military veteran who served multiple combat tours. A native of Lawrence, Massachusetts, he relocated to Tampa, where he found music therapy to be a crucial means of managing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Teaching himself electronic music software and AI prompting tools became a dedicated artistic project, resulting in a unique sound.

Following three years of focused production, Initiation offers a comprehensive collection of upbeat, dance-ready tracks. Beneath the infectious rhythms, the lyrics explore resonant themes of love, heartbreak, and emotional intensity. The album features a mix of original songs and numerous remixes, catering to listeners who want to keep moving, dancing, or working out.

The title Initiation and certain track naming conventions are a subtle homage, reflecting Static Mafia’s practice of paying respect to artists who inspired him, often by drawing influence from deeply reimagined mixes of music he grew up loving.

Static Mafia’s production process is key to his unique sound. He writes the lyrics and creates the fundamental beats, then employs AI to add intricate layers of sounds and instruments, resulting in a richer, fuller music experience. His eclectic taste, spanning Dance/House, Hip-Hop, Merengue, Trap, R&B, Chopped & Screwed, Salsa, Reggae, Bachata, Dub-Step, Jazz, and unconventional elements, drives him to incorporate diverse influences, ensuring his music stands out.

Regarding vocals, Static Mafia uses his own voice for at least 70% of his tracks primarily to establish the melody and rhythm. He then utilizes heavy autotune and AI manipulation to craft the final vocal texture. For authenticity, his own voice is often integrated into the mix through ad-libs or as a layer within the main, manipulated vocals.
