Mental Health Awareness

The Why: Beyond the Uniform, Misguided Youth & Toxic Relationships

My advocacy for Mental Health Awareness isn’t just a bullet point on a mission statement — it is my lived reality. As a military veteran, a former misguided youth from Lawrence, and a survivor of toxic relationships, I know exactly what it feels like to carry the invisible weight of a life that won't slow down.

I’ve learned that the hardest battles aren't always fought on a distant battlefield or in the heat of a crisis; they’re fought in the "static" of our own minds during the quiet hours of the night. I advocate because I know the crushing isolation that comes with PTSD, anxiety, and depression. For years, I navigated that silence alone, and I’ve made it my mission to make sure others don't have to do the same.

I use my work as a songwriter, author, and producer to transform my own struggles into a "positive distraction." My "Why" is simple: I believe that by being transparent about my healing and my blessings, I can offer the insight and resources others need to find their way through the rain. Static Mafia Music exists to prove that vulnerability isn’t a weakness — it’s the ultimate strength. By sharing our rawest stories, we build a community where no one has to heal in the dark.

The Call to Action

Everything I create is a piece of my own journey, offered up to help you navigate yours. If my music, my books, or my story hit home for you, I’m inviting you to join the family.

Read the lessons I’ve lived, follow along to stay connected to the movement, and don't be afraid to let your own voice be heard in the comments. If you know someone fighting a silent battle, please share this work with them. When you engage with what I do, you aren’t just a "fan" or a "follower" — you’re a vital part of a community...a family built on shared resilience.

Let’s cut through the static and find our way back to ourselves, together.

The Toolkit: Resources for the Fight

In the military, we’re taught never to leave anyone behind. In life, we often forget that rule applies to ourselves, too. If the static in your head is getting too loud or the weight feels like it’s starting to pull you under, please don’t wait it out in silence. Reaching out isn’t a surrender; it’s a tactical move to get back in the fight. Below are the people and organizations I trust to help you find your footing. Use them.
