Static Mafia - Artist Biography
The Person Transcending The Static
I grew up in Lawrence, Mass — a place that teaches you early on how to find your footing when things get loud. Now, I’m down in Tampa, trading the Nor'easters for the Florida sun, but that New England grit hasn’t left me. It’s baked into my DNA.
I’m a veteran, a father, and a producer. I don't claim to be a "performing artist" in the traditional sense. I’m an Executive Producer and a songwriter who is more comfortable in the DAW than on a stage (except maybe karaoke, after a few tasty beverages). I go by Static Mafia because life is rarely a clear signal. Most of the time, it’s just noise — static. My creative process is about sifting through that static and turning it into a vibe you can lean on when things get heavy.
The Sound of the "Unfinished"
I’ve never been a fan of music that feels like it was scrubbed clean in a corporate bubblegum factory. To me, the soul is in the imperfections. I love the lofi textures, the faded word endings, and the "glitch-positive" energy that reminds us how perfectly human we are... how our glitches and pops make us unique and special in our own way.
My music doesn't stay in one lane because my life hasn't stayed in one lane. If the story calls for the ache of the Blues, that’s where I go. If it needs the pulse of House, Reggae, or the jagged edges of Glitch-Funk, I follow that feel. I use modern tools to help find the right voice within me for my lyrics when the story and vibe call for it, but the heart, the cadence, and the perspective are always 100% mine.
Why I Do This
Every project I put out is a quiet stand for Mental Health Awareness. I’ve seen the rain, I’ve felt the ache, and I’ve learned that the best way to heal is to share the lessons learned from the tears cried. My publishing house, my writing, and my music are built on one simple truth: You are not alone.
I’m just a guy in Florida making sense of the world through writing and sound. If you’re here for the music, I appreciate you. If it’s not your vibe, that’s okay too — I’m just glad you stopped by to see what the family is all about. ✌️💜
